YES, YES, YES!!! It is soooo good! Let me just say, I am NOT a reader. I have willingly read, maybe, about 5 books my entire life. I could not put those down!!! It's HOT and it's a great story too. I don't understand why people say it's not good writing.

SO, go get it, read the first two chapters and if you CAN put it down, then go for it. lol

Currently reading "When Parents Text: So Much Said...So Little Understood" by Lauren Kaelin and Sophia Fraioli. I'm dying laughing. This book is absolutely hilarious, and at the time I downloaded it from Kindle a few hours ago, was merely $1.99.

I was drawn to this book in the airport a few weeks ago. It was on the bottom shelf, last copy, a little dusty. But I had to have it. And I couldn't put it down.

An Invisible Thread: The True Story of an 11-Year-Old Panhandler, a Busy Sales Executive, and an Unlikely Meeting with Destiny

Hi, my name is Laura Schroff, and An Invisible Thread is the story of my friend, Maurice, and me. We met on 56th street in Manhattan in 1986, when I was a 35-year-old single, successful ad sales executive, and he was an 11-year-old homeless panhandler. He asked me for spare change; I ignored him and kept walking. But something made me stop, and turn around, and go back to him, and that day I took him to lunch at McDonalds. We met the Monday after that, and the following Monday, and every Monday for the next four years, and hundreds of times after that. Today, 25 years later, we are still great friends.

An Invisible Thread is the story of how Maurice changed my life, and I his. It is the story of how two people who needed each other somehow became unlikely friends, against all odds. It is the story of the mysterious, unseen connections that exist between people who are destined to meet—and how, if only we open our eyes and our hearts to them, these connections can be the great blessings of our lives.

I read all three within a week. Two during the weekend, then the last one throughout the week after work. It was that good! My friend in TN, who hasn't picked up a book in a few decades, couldn't put it down.

My daughter attends Davis and the entire school is reading "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio. I try to read the required reading for all the kids. I finished this book in two evenings. It was wonderful. Sad, heartwarming, wonderful. I highly recommend this book, especially to the 4th grade through 9th grade crowd.
